LMK When ("we," "our," or "us") operates the LMK When web application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this information to create and manage your account.

Alert Data

We store the alert configurations you create, including search queries, matching criteria, and notification preferences. This data is necessary to provide the alert monitoring service.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or banking details. We receive only a customer identifier and subscription status from Stripe.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage information such as when alerts are checked, match results, and notification delivery status. This helps us improve the service and troubleshoot issues.

How We Use Your Information

  • To process your subscription payments

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate LMK When:

  • Google OAuth — for authentication
  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Neon — for database hosting
  • Vercel — for application hosting
  • Resend — for email delivery
  • Anthropic (Claude) — for AI-powered alert analysis
  • Google (via Serper.dev) — for web search queries
  • Plausible Analytics — for privacy-friendly website analytics (no cookies, no personal data collected)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. Your alert search queries are sent to Google (via Serper.dev) and Anthropic for processing, but are not used by them to train models or for purposes beyond fulfilling your request. Search results are processed transiently and are not stored in our database.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication (session management via NextAuth). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not use cookies.

Data Retention

We retain your account data and alert configurations for as long as your account is active. Alert check history is retained for up to 1 year depending on your plan (35 days for Free, 6 months for Pro, 1 year for Premium). If you request account deletion, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the request.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Unsubscribe from notification emails at any time

International Users & GDPR

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, secure authentication via OAuth, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

LMK When is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
