Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LMK When web application ("Service") operated by LMK When ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

LMK When is an AI-powered alert monitoring service. You create alerts with search queries and matching criteria. We periodically search the web and use AI to evaluate whether results match your criteria. When matches are found, we notify you by email.

2. Account Registration

You must sign in with a Google account to use LMK When. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Plans and Payment

LMK When offers a free tier and two paid plans:

  • Free — 3 active alerts, 1 weekly check slot (remaining alerts checked monthly), 35-day history, no credit card required.
  • Pro — Up to 15 active alerts, weekly checks with 3 daily check slots, 6-month history. $4 per month or $40 per year, billed via Stripe.
  • Premium — Up to 100 active alerts, 2 hourly check slots, 10 daily check slots, 1-year history. $20 per month or $200 per year, billed via Stripe.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel your paid plan, your account reverts to the free tier.

4. Service Limits

Service limits depend on your plan:

  • Free — 3 active alerts, 1 weekly check slot (remaining alerts run monthly), 35 days of check history, 4 manual checks per month
  • Pro — 15 active alerts, weekly checks with 3 daily check slots, 6 months of check history, 20 manual checks per month
  • Premium — 100 active alerts, 2 hourly check slots, 10 daily check slots, 1 year of check history, unlimited manual checks

All plans include AI-powered matching and email notifications. We reserve the right to modify these limits with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Monitor content for illegal purposes or to facilitate illegal activity
  • Harass, stalk, or track individuals without their consent
  • Circumvent service limits by creating multiple accounts
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission
  • Create alerts designed to abuse API resources, generate excessive email volume, or otherwise strain the Service beyond normal use

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of information received through the Service complies with all applicable laws and the terms of any websites or services you are monitoring. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably determine to be abusive.

6. AI and Search Results

LMK When uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to analyze search results against your criteria. You acknowledge that:

  • AI analysis is not perfect and may produce false positives or miss relevant results
  • Web search results depend on third-party search providers and may not be comprehensive
  • The Service is a monitoring aid, not a guaranteed notification system
  • We are not responsible for decisions you make based on alert notifications
  • The Service is informational only and should not be used as the sole basis for automated decision-making, financial transactions, or any action with significant consequences

7. Email Notifications

By creating alerts, you consent to receive email notifications at the email address associated with your account (or a custom address you specify). You can pause individual alerts or unsubscribe from notifications at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us. Your alert configurations and data remain yours. We do not claim ownership of the content you create or the search results we find on your behalf.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all relevant web content will be found and matched.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

You can request account deletion at any time from the Settings page or by contacting us. If you have an active paid subscription, canceling it reverts your account to the free tier; you must separately request account deletion if you want your data removed. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice.
